Women In Micro Enterprise – 25th July 2018
A Review Meeting of the program, Women in Micro Enterprises supported by SAMRUDI Rural Upliftment Foundation was held at KROSS Resource Centre, Bengaluru on 25th July 2018 in which Coordinators and Animators from the Diocesan Social Service Societies (DSSSs) participated.

The Meeting began with a prayer followed by Mr. Amith, Project Officer, SAMRUDI welcoming the Director, KROSS, the participants and the KROSS Staff.

Rev. Fr. Sebastian Fernandes, Director, SAMRUDI in his address emphasised that the program was meant for the upliftment of the economically down trodden and we have to put in all efforts to see that the benefits of this program reach the poorest of the poor members of our Self-help Groups.

This was followed by the Diocesan Coordinators presenting their reports, which were analysed with the action plan and suggestions and feedback given for better implementation of the program.

An action plan for the next 6 months (July to December 2018) was prepared, deliberated and suggestions were given for changes, if any. It was made clear that it is just not enough to achieve a target, but we have to make a conscious effort to follow up and guide the women who take up income generating activity so that through a small loan they are able to create a share of their profits also.

Sr. Zita D’souza, Chief Coordinator, Women Empowerment Program evaluated the progress achieved and gave feedback on the presentations of the DSSSs.

Mr. Arulappa, BDDS, Ballari and Ms Padmavathi, MSSS, Bhadravathi moderated the sessions and Ms Nirmala, ORBIT, Bidar proposed the vote of thanks.
