Training On Farming Issues – 15th & 16th June, 2015.

A two days “Training on Farming Issues in light of the International Year of Family Farming” was conducted by KROSS at the zonal level organized by CMSSS, Hassan on 15th & 16th June, 2015 at Marianagar & Gadenahally respectively.

Family farming commonly considered old-fashioned, resistant to change and unable to respond effectively to market opportunities, is gaining recognition as a viable model for the future of agriculture. Any future needs family farming said Rev. Fr. Marcel Pinto, Director, CMSSS, Hassan who inaugurated the two days training.

The training was facilitated by Dr. Rajashekar, Retd. Professor, College of Agriculture Science, Dr. Manjunath Swamy, Horticultural Scientist, & Dr. Channakeshava, Soil Scientist, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hassan.

The 160 participants from various talukas of Hassan who had come for the training expressed that they had learnt a lot of new techniques and that they would make maximum use of organic manure and pesticide.

Mr. Vincy Sequeira, CMSSS, Hassan welcomed the gathering and Mr. Krishna Shetty, CMSSS, Hassan proposed the vote of thanks.
