Workshop on Project Cycle Management

Workshop on Project Cycle Management, Project Monitoring & Evaluation and Result Based Management – 21st to 24th July 2015.

A good project life cycle has seven stages and each one is very important as without proper identification, preparation, appraisal, presentation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation the best conceived project can fail. Hence at every stage a critical evaluation needs to be done so that if there is a feeling we are not moving in the right direction corrective measures have to be taken to put the project back on track said Rev. Fr. Sebastian Fernandes, Director, KROSS in his keynote address to the participants who had come from all over the state of Karnataka.

Mr. Ambrose Christy, Development Consultant from Chennai who facilitated the workshop made it amply clear that the workshop would be a cross learning between and among the participants on the concept largely based on their experience. The workshop was largely on group discussion, debate, sharing and understanding the principles and methodology, designing indicators and applying these to the projects to upscale its efficiency and effectiveness.

The participants expressed their happiness as they had more clarity now right from the initial process of developing a project, implementing on results based management and evaluation in a scientific way.

Rev. Fr. Urban Santosh Fernandes, Commissions Co-ordinating Secretary & Director Pastoral Centre, Karwar Diocese graced the closing ceremony and motivated the participants to make full use of the training as such training were not available in earlier times. He also presented Certificates to all the participants.
