PAUSTIK – Building Community Resilience To Mitigate Malnutrition.

A two days’ Review cum Evaluation of the program “PAUSTIK” was held at KROSS Resource Centre on 23rd & 24th May, 2017.

The steps initiated by Karnataka Regional Organization for Social Service (KROSS) through the support of Kindermissionswerk to mitigate malnutrition needs to be carried forward by the three operating partners, i.e., Belgaum Diocesan Social Service Society (BDSSS), Bellary Diocese Development Society (BDDS) and Seva Sangama, Gulbarga as a continuous process through activities and trainings as envisaged in the program, so that resilience to mitigate malnutrition can be built within the community and they themselves own and carry forward the program in time to come said Rev. Fr. Sebastian Fernandes, Director, KROSS in his address.

The first day was devoted to reviewing the progress achieved during the last ten months and feedback was provided how we could achieve much more by involving and seeking cooperation from the local grassroots health workers of the Department.

The second day was devoted to evaluate the program and the program staff of BDSSS, BDDS and Seva Sangama shared their learnings and the challenges they faced. A lot of suggestions came from the participants themselves which was supplemented with feedback from Director, KROSS and Project Officer.

The two days program was moderated by Mr. G. M. Varghese, Project Officer, Paustik who also welcomed each and every one present. Mr. Kashinath, BDSSS, Belgaum proposed the vote of thanks.
