Workshop On National Rural Health Mission.

To understand the salient features of the National Rural Health Mission, a workshop was held at KROSS Resource Centre, Bangalore on 27th June, 2017 in which 62 participants from the Diocesan Social Work Centres, Federation Leaders, Staff of Network NGOs and a few ASHA Workers from all over Karnataka participated.

In his keynote address, Fr. Sebastian Fernandes, Director, KROSS impressed upon the participants that this Workshop was arranged so that they would be made aware of the different health schemes rolled out by the Government for the benefit of the poor and the downtrodden. He called upon the participants to fully understand the benefits provided under this scheme and see that they in turn make the rural people aware of the numerous health benefits available to them and ensure that they make use of these benefits so that they can lead a healthy life.

The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Krishna Murthy who is not only an expert on this subject but who has translated this whole scheme in Kannada for the benefit of the people of the state of Karnataka.

The participants were very much pleased with the outcome of this Workshop and raised a number of queries which were clarified by the Resource Person.

Mr. G. M. Varghese, KROSS, Bangalore welcomed the Resource Persons and the participants and gave a brief introduction of the Resource Person. Mr. Rajashekar, KROSS proposed the vote of thanks.
