KROSS INSTITUTE FOR CIVIL SERVICE
(An Institution under the aegis of Karnataka Regional Catholic Bishop's Council)

Empowering Value Based Leaders for Nation Building

Overview:
KROSS Institute for Civil Service was established in 2004 under the aegis of Karnataka Regional Catholic Bishops’ Council. It was a long standing desire of the Bishops’ of Karnataka to start an Institute to advance the career prospects of youth, who have the potential to join State & Central Public Service, but are unable to afford the expensive coaching conducted in cities like New Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai and to promote value based leaders.

The youth though bright and talented and having the tenacity to compete in civil service examination are handicapped as they have no access to quality coaching or up-to-date study materials. Lack of motivation and misconception that rural background is a hindrance for placement in civil service makes most of them opt out. Hence it is the mission of KROSS Institute for Civil Service to provide top class training with bare minimum cost and bring this opportunity to every aspiring candidate. This programme is partially supported by MISSIO, Aachen, Germany along with all the Dioceses of Karnataka.

The Institute works to prepare Value Based Leaders who will demonstrate moral acumen in their lives and work for building a nation that is just and peaceful and initiate policy decisions which will bring succour to the vulnerable and marginalized section of the society.

Who can join Civil Service?
Any Graduate or Post Graduate who qualify all the norms set by UPSC and has the 3 D’s (Strong - Desire, Decision and Determination) coupled with patience and humility can become a Civil Service Officer. What leads a candidate to transcend the barriers to reach Mussoorie is nothing but “blood, sweat and tears coupled with a monastic approach to discipline and self-belief”.
