Training On Management Information System & Development Communication

A two days training on Management Information System and Development Communication was conducted at KROSS Resource Centre on 1st & 2nd December, 2014.
The programme was inaugurated by Ms Alexandria Garcia and Ms Elena Fernandez of Manos Unidas, Spain by lighting of a lamp.

In his key note address, Fr. Peter Brank emphasised the need of this particular training as he said that we in the social development sector are today doing tremendous work but we are sadly lacking in documenting the work that we do. He said, lets showcase the work we do in the field so that people know the work that we do and the changes that has been brought in the lives of the people whom we serve, which is also what the stakeholders expect of us. We have to know that what we learn today becomes outdated the next day and hence there is a need today to learn the new techniques that are being introduced in development communication so that our reporting is appropriate and those who read the reports and see the pictorials are able to comprehend and analyse the work that has been done. He also welcomed our guests from Manos Unidas, Mr. Jimmy Mathew, State Officer, Caritas India the facilitator of the training, the Diocesan Social Work Directors present and over 40 participants who had come from all over Karnataka State.
Sr. Mercy, DKRDS proposed the vote of thanks and Mr. Clement Fernandes, KROSS moderated the program.
